Both the Sanilac County Board of Commissioners and the Sanilac County Parks Commission will conduct meetings on a proposal to submit a grant application to assist with the development and improvement of the sewer and electrical system at Sanilac County Forester Park.

The project is contingent upon the Sanilac County Parks Commission seeking grant funding through a Michigan Department of Natural Resources Recreation Passport Grant. The grant proposal will be submitted prior to April 1, 2018.

The Sanilac County Board of Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at the Board of Commissioner’s Board Room, Room 105, located in the Sanilac County Courthouse.

The Sanilac County Parks Commission will discuss the topic as an agenda item on Tuesday, December 5, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Sanilac County Emergency Operation Center, 95 Dawson Street, Sandusky.

Public comment regarding this proposal will be taken at these times to help facilitate the design and implementation of the sewer development and electrical improvement proposals. Public comment may be presented in either written or oral form.

If you are unable to attend these meetings, public comment may be addressed at any time to Sanilac County Parks Vice-Chairman Greg Alexander at the office of the Sanilac County Drain Commissioner located in the Sanilac County Courthouse.
